Finally got a chance to blog, hahahahahaha
10 SEP 13.15
First day of my OSIP. Will be going to Beijing for my training before going to Su Zhou which is my actual place. Thank those who came over to send me off, quite touched to see everyone. Ha ha ha. Was happy that my family came too, they don’t seem bothered at first, my brother even skip school to come over, feel quite touched.
Now I am actually typing this entry on the plane, I am very tired but then I cannot sleep. I start to miss my family especially my mum. I should have actually ask them to stayed longer when my dad wanted to leave, cause they think I should stick with my friend longer, they fear they will hinder me from speaking to my friends. Silly me why did I let them go, now then start to miss them haiz. Actually I saw my mum eyes abit red and I abit soft one, therefore I scare when I see her longer both of us start to cry, but now even I think back, like so sad, I regret and finally I wanna cry. Haiz life is like this, only when you miss it then you treasure it. When she always ask me to accompany her, I feel so reluctant and lazy, but now all I want is to go shopping with her more. If she is reading this “mummy hope to see you soon and sorry : )”. Actually I don’t wish to talk about this anymore, start to cry liao, hahahahahaha, Wesley crying? Abit weird. Hahahaha.
Firstly I wanna thank joan for doing a gathering for me I enjoyed. Thanks to her and kandis and bake me the cookie, I would say its Double Chocolate Cookie. Its quite black la, but I still love it a lot a lot, thanks so much. Next is Apple, thanks for the cookie, if you are reading this, please tell me whats the cookie stand for, hahahahaha cuase I realize abit smash liao. Sorry. But thanks for the effort. Eileena, read the letter you gave me, I also wish to thank you too, and that letter started my whole emo feeling, hahahahahahaa. Actually cannot totally blame her, my ipod quite a lot of emo song that make me so ………. To the rest, Keng kee, Shawn, Dean, Sam, Cheryl and Keagan thanks for making the effort to come down to early, I know you guys have SIP launch but still make the effort to come down, you guys are the best man. I love everyone of you guys.
Now I am actually looking forward for is late oct when my grandma is coming to su zhou to look for me. Yea…… hope she really come. Then late nov my mum is coming hahahahahahahaa. Finally meaning I have to wait like about 3 months

Hope time pass faster and faster each day.
Next will be the golden week, I heard we don’t have to work for one week. How I wish I can fly back to Singapore for that one week but it’s a NO NO. Hahahhahaha, I guess I may be traveling to Shanghai to meet sam, maybe tricia too. I wonder is my friends will wanna join me.
To my sub comms reading this, please take care of yourself and please give joan your full support, its not easy for her to work alone. But of course if there are any question be it in life or in school, you can always email me, I try to reply you. You know China, their technology may not be that stable as SINGAPORE so maybe the wireless may be gone, or others also need to use computer then I may not have the chance to use it. I remember my earlier post was saying that I am worried about china airline, but in fact, now that I am in it, I think its not too bad la. I think too much, service was also quite good. Hahahahahaha Maybe the seat and airplane is smaller but hahahaha no one is seating with me so I actually got two seats then can stretch my leg here and there. But one thing interesting is that I see the pilot coming out to do the serving of water, I was like HUH! Hahahahaha. Ok this is all what I wanna say for this post.

A day has just pass like this, wow its so fast to a certain extend. Firstly CULTURE SHOCK. The traffic here is like wow, when we arrive at the airport, when we are crossing the zebra crossing, the vehicles keep horning us as if we are at fault jay walking. And I was like shock, “ I thought zebra crossing give priority so us first?” Then moving on when we were in the bus, the bus uncle keep press his horn all day long, even if traffic jam or someone driving a little slower, there is no patient at all. Hahahahahaha, when at night I took the public bus to Carrefour (Jia Le Fu), same thing, and the bus driver just keep pressing the horn non-stop, when someone cycle pass, he will show his nice finger. WOW. Hahahahaha. Back to the story when I am going to the hotel. One more thing, I realize that the road shoulder actually became lane cutting lane and as time goes by, more and more people wanna cut the lane, its became a road lane it self and I was like, hahahaa NO GOVERNMENT. But luckily then was the traffic police (GONG AN) up ahead but when we drove pass is, I once again realize something, he turn on the signal light but guess what, he’s sleeping in the car, wow they are doing their job, no wonder the traffic flow so nicely. Finally last thing about transport, my mentor here, micheal actually had no change when our bus fare is 8 yuan, but he only had 10 yuan, so what he did was he put the 10 yuan in and told the driver hey, you own me 2 yuan, so what he did was to stand at the paying box, and when people want to put the money, he say its ok pass me the money until he get his 2 yuan back. Once again NO GOVERNMENT.
Last thing, which I don’t find it surprising but someone my coursemate find it interesting is that the driver is on the left while Singapore is on the right. Hey hey.
FOOD WAS TERRIBLE, I know I’m hungry but when I eat the food I feel full, and I eat little, I was shock that I feel full eating a little. Ra-men with sesame sauce, fried rice with only egg, cucumber just eats like this and some pickle stir-fried pork. SO SALTY. Hahahahahahaha.
The toilet looks so irry like the movie SAW 3 when the guy was killed in the bath tub, ITS LIKE THE SAME. Hahahahaa, then when bathing, its like playing gadget, where I need to turn here and there, then step on the peddle to get the water. Going to the toilet also like playing maze, walk here and there through the carpark, to the security and many more just to reach THE TOILET.
So late but can’t sleep, I know I am tired, haiz abit miss my bed, quite stuffy in here. K I will try to sleep now getting late, past one already.
After finish wringing this part of my life I realize one thing. Lunar Seventh Month is over. Hahahahahaaah.

A Day has finish again. Today they go through everything about the company, the number of hotels we have and many more. WA so sian. Then move on to what is hospitality, what the hell la, its like INTHT that I took when I was year one and Lodging Operation is year two, its like going through all over again. So boring, its like lecture sitting there again.
Today, Mr Peter Loke came in today to give us an intoduction. I learn three thing from him today which I think its interesting, firstly is “ YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR DESTINY, MASTER OF YOUR SOUL” the second thing is “ YOU ARE NOT DOING HOTEL MANAGEMENT, YOU ARE DOING HOSPITALITY” and lastly “IN LIFE TO ENJOY YOURSELF, DON’T COMPARE” with that they started talking about another company our friends has join and saying that Gloria Beijing is better than them.
At first I agreed until that night when we went down to meet our friends, I finally understand what he meant by “IN LIFE TO ENJOY YOURSELF, DON’T COMPARE”. Reason being, I don’t even know how to start comparing. They had limo to drive them to the hotel, they had people to push their baggage for them. And settle my friends down like a KING. Guess what ours was cool, we had to push our trolley of baggage ourselves to the bus bay which is like a level up. OMG then have to cross some roads and stuff which is quite dangerous, cause we have to give way to bus at the zebra crossing. Then we have to carry our baggage up to the bus ourselves. Then the bus was so pack like sardine, poor felix and I have to pack our selves with our stuff and like no room for movement.
When our friends reach the hotel, they are given an introduction at the lobby, OURS WAS ON THE ROADSIDE OF THE HOTEL.
They stay in Condominium with wireless facilities, gym and many more. WE STAY IN DORMS WITH 18 GUYS IN A ROOM. NO INTERNET, only the staff club which is only like 3 coms. Our gym is like my trackmill at home that GARANG GUNI ALSO DON WANT.
They had tailored made uniform and staff card and badges. WE MUST WEAR A STANDARD SIZE UNIFORM even if sleeves too long or what THEY DON”T CARE. Cause others also need to wear. WE SHARE OUR UNIFORM.
Our friends were treated at the fine dining restaurant called EAST 33 at raffles Beijing. WE HAVE TO EAT CHINESE RA MEN WITH SESAME SAUCE. WA LOU Eeeeee……
They have entered lobby and know all the friends there, WE HAVEN”T EVEN ENTER THE LOBBY BEFORE. WHAT THE HELL LA. We only know less than ten people here.
Our friends get staff discount over there if they dine, “ At Gloria, we welcome you to spend money here BUT DON”T EXPECT DISCOUNT” wow nice staff benefits
TO ENJOY, YOU DON”T COMPARE. Know why, if I want to compare I don know how to start and it give me more problem. ARrrrrr……….
Saw the SVP of Gloria today, Interesting man, I like him a lot a lot, wish to be like him in future.
Today lunch was quite good, but guess what, we went out to have our dinner, nothing much but here’s what we have after the normal fried rice. Scorpion, Seahorse, Centipede and lastly Starfish.
Scorpion taste like prawn cracker, Seahorse taste like fried cuttlefish, centipede taste like weird but their legs are quite sharp when they poke our mouth, OUCH. Then starfish taste like fired cuttlefish at first but when you reach the mouth part, it taste like sand, its like eating sand, cause star fish eat sands too.
And I got another culture shock, red light in china means pedestrian don walk, car move. Green light means whomever its faster get to walk first, but if pedestrian walk first, they horn you AT GREEN LIGHT.
Took a cab, which cause only 2 dollar from tian an men to Gloria.
I wash my own clothes today, the back really ache a lot a lot, and its not easy, I learn to appreciate things more now, like washing clothes, it may seem and easy job and its not. Especially at this condition. And you really need friend out here, I got one called Micheal, all thanks to him, otherwise I a lot of things I don’t have. Haiz. Write till here, gotta go to bed, tomorrow another long day to drag myself through. hahahaha

Actually nothing much today, I find some Chinese quite interesting and friendly and I think hey, actually they are not as bad as they were as we thought. I think they are more protective and defensive therefore they care a lot more for themselves. This made us think they are not nice, but generally they are not too bad. Quite tired today, I am actually looking forward to tomorrow’s outdoor activity, if they were to play those normal team building game I played when year one, I WILL KILL THEM.
Had my result today, went through so much to get it. I would say, quite say that I think I did badly but at least I pass which I ask for and pray for and thanks god for fulfilling it. Cause for DPD I actually lost 40 marks of the paper but I still pass. Oh thanks a lot a lot.
Very tired today don know what to say.
Took one hour to find internet café and gone to the rural area of Beijing too, it was scary.
HAD PEKING DUCK, ok la, not too bad, but I still prefer Singapore one. Hahahahahaaha. I think nothing much today to write.
Two thing I learn from SVP Willie (Huang Zhong), don look things near, look from far away to have a wider view and clearer perspective. And also don be eager to answer and think you are so smart, take some time, some thing may seems correct but wrong.

Needle, one of the worst thing in the world.
I hate the person who invented injection.
Anyway going to China, and the doctor say i need to take afew jabs as China DIRTY. Like Hep A, Hep B, Tyriod (don know how to spell) and flu jab.
Wa lou so scare la, this this doctor i went to i give her my full respect.
Blood test one time she can catch the right vein and it wasn't painful at all. It was infact quite relaxing. Follow on with all the jabs, everything was fine and good.
Oh Gosh, this is my favourite doctor. Then on i don't worry anymore jabs from this doctor anymore.
Hhaahahaha, jab me more.

I once see a advertisement of a budget airline and it says

So i continue the sentence "We fly you there, We never land"
Going to Su Zhou for OSIP and i was at first quite worried about China Airline, so much thing about it, then my neighbour told me, hey not too bad la China Airline now, so i though it was ok and get over it, guess what, last night a news headline.
